This application is designed to assist with insulin dose calculations in both Canadian home and school settings. It also supports calculations in U.S. mg/dL blood glucose units. The app offers five distinct screens:

• The "Simple Insulin Bolus" screen computes insulin doses for individuals on multiple daily injections (MDI) utilizing carb ratio, correction/sensitivity factor (ISF), target blood glucose (default values: 6 mmol/L or 100 mg/dL for daytime, and 8 mmol/L or 120 mg/dL for bedtime), carbohydrates intake, and current blood glucose levels.
• The "Simple Insulin Scale" screen generates an easy-to-use insulin sliding scale for those following a fixed carb dose per meal, determined by baseline insulin dose, ISF, and target blood glucose.
• The "Full Sliding Scale" screen provides a comprehensive insulin scale for MDI users based on carb ratio, ISF, and target blood glucose.
• The "Correcting for Arrows" screen enables continuous glucose monitoring system (CGMS) users to adjust their insulin dose or carb intake according to positive or negative direction arrows detected.
• The "School Resources" screen offers convenient access to websites offering resources for the care of Canadian school children with diabetes.
